Liberalism, all -isms, seem to excite the same neural pathways as religious belief, so I think wokeism is going to be with us for a long time.

Britain just seems incredible at this point. And how about Kemi's remarkable career?! She's a diplomat, an accountant, a civil rights activist!

Amazing all the talent that swims at the top of democratic government. You can literally slot them into anything!

Anyway, Britain has a stagnant economy, no religion, an elite even more foppish and effete than America's, which I didn't think possible.

All I know of Ms Badenoch is what I read around the edges of British politics. Without looking at her, her words and policy proposals are staunchly conservative, even revanchist, which is a big improvement on the squishy Tories following on Boris Johnson. Maybe her bold talk is all blather, or maybe the British Deep State will deflect her as it did here with the first Trump government. But at least she says the words, so there is some hope. Better the best heart surgeon available who is black than the white surgeon in the bottom half of his class.
