If anyone knows how to get in touch with his family, please email me at

remolish (at) protonmail (dot) com

I'd like to help keep the official website (thezman.com) online so all web links still point to original content. Maybe see if a niece or nephew (if they exist) could monetize any of his writing in book form etc.

We are still waiting to hear from his next of kin. Once we do, I’ll let you know.

An enormous loss, and a shocker.

Z's work ethic put nearly all of us to shame. He had his main site and this 'green door' site, both updated on a steady basis, on top of his day job. Truly the 'hardest working man on the dissident right'. And even if one day you disagreed with his point of view or felt he got too deep in the philosophical (or his home!) weeds, the next day's piece would pull you back in.

There will now be no completed book from Z-man to preserve his thoughts. Hopefully smart people are preserving the best of his site for posterity. I think his legacy is larger than any of us (or him) knew. Now it is up to us to carry it on..

Heartbroken. Feels as if I’ve lost a personal friend. I hope that the work he posted here and on his blog can be preserved somehow. Don’t know how that works. So sad that the projects he was planning will never come to fruition now - his garden, workbench, project truck. Such a great loss for the Dissident Right, and for those who enjoy brilliant minds. Godspeed, Chris. May you rest in blessed peace.

You can manually archive links here: https://archive.li/

Also suggest downloading everything using page-to-print as pdf and saving it offline.

I did not know Chris or his writing but I have archived a lot of digital information.

Good luck with your new mission 'reader.' You are now an 'archiver.'

I was deeply saddened by the passing of Z Man and was hoping one day a "Best Of" compilation would be put out. Since there are around 370 episodes, I can download them one at a time. To archive his blog posts from 2013, an automated method is needed. I asked Grok what command line to use to archive every page of a website and it suggested using the wget program:

wget --mirror --convert-links --html-extension -P ./output https://thezman.com/wordpress/

I then asked Grok what command to use to save each page with the article title and publication date in the file name and it gave me this answer:

wget --recursive --no-clobber --page-requisites --html-extension --convert-links --restrict-file-names=windows --domains example.com --no-parent https://thezman.com/wordpress/

However, when executed, it kept crashing and giving me error messages so I use the first command. The result was a folder with about 22,000 files totalling 3.1 Gb. When zipped into a single file, came in at 445 Mb. Here are the bittorrent links:

Filename:

thezman dot com dot zip

God no. Chris was a good man. He reached out to me repeatedly after a family tragedy, and offered words of encouragment.

This is just bad, bad, bad. I am crushed.

I don’t get it, Z lived alone in the woods of West Virginia, he did a show late Wednesday and he has said he typically writes his posts in the morning, if he died of natural causes who called it in? His cats? And why would ramzpaul be the person notified by emergency services? Praying this is all a bad joke.

I am upset that Z is gone. I think this article is perfect as his last.

Free will is the core question of this grand experiment that we call existence. Free will is the reason he created us. It is the base preposition of all philosophies.

Free will is what we are born with. It is something that we can give up. It is something that we can take back. It costs suffering, pain and sacrifice. It grants happiness, love and knowledge.

It is up to each and every one of us to prove to the creator that free will is necessary.

Embody the truth and speak it out loud.

Amen.

Ave atque vale, Chris. I have read him every day for at least 5 years. A fearless fighter for the truth. A wonderful guide to clown world. I will remember him for the dirt people / cloud people distinction which is so much more informative than Red/Blue or the other ones meant to obfuscate rather than inform. RIP Chris.
