My father was a Charter Subscriber to the NR. It was always lying around d our house along with Time, Newsweek, and Life. I had a subscription to it until the “Conservative Case for Gay Marriage”. Then I saw what they did to Derb after “the advice to his son” letter.

A good friend of mine who calls himself “Conservative” still send me articles from it. I really enjoy dumping on the authors.

It wasn’t until I started listening to you that I came to see just how corrosive WFB was. My Normie friends are shocked when I tell them the facts as many still worship him. I’ll bring this to them. Thanks

Far from being a Holocaust denier, there's a bit on one of Darryl Coopers episodes where he plays a bit of audio from a Holocaust documentary and starts inconsolably sobbing on air

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one reading NR as a teenager. It's striking now to see how astroturfed the whole Con Inc. apparatus really was (and still is). Sobran ran a web blog in the early 00s that continued his stellar essays and thoughts on Bush II, and the neoconservatives that directed US foreign policy in the beginnings of GWOT.

It truly is indicative of the arrogance, stupidity, and hubris that our putative overlords had the audacity to call the idiotic wars I fought as a young man the "Global War On Terror®" and "Iraqi Freedom™"
