Way back in my youth we got the idea of doing a road trip to Montreal as we heard the beer was cheap and the women even cheaper. We rented a minivan and piled a bunch of guys into it for the journey north. It was not my first trip out of the country, as I had been to Mexico and the Caribbean, but it was my first trip to what we used to call a first world country and yes Canada was first world then.
