Airports are a good way to measure a society. They are big complicated things that require a lot of smart people to control a lot of not-so-smart people who work to control the millions of stupid travelers entering the airport. They are one of the civilizational things that test the civilization. Those airports in places with low human capital are going to reflect that in big neon signs everywhere you turn.
