We are coming up on the anniversary of the death of Hans Fritz Scholl, who along with his sister Sophie and Christoph Probst were executed by the Nazis in 1943. The reason they were executed is they led a cell of ant-fascist agitators in Munich, distributing leaflets that called for the overthrow of the government. They adopted the white rose as their symbol and ever since it has been the symbol of antifascism.
