Mother Theresa famously said that the journey of a thousand steps starts by killing an Indian and stealing his sandals. I may not have that exactly right, but the spirit of it is familiar to everyone. The way to do things is to first start doing them and then the rest just follows from there. This sounds obvious but there is a psychological energy needed to get the ball over that first small hump.
