One of the primary projects of Hollywood is to vandalize their own intellectual property as a way of spiting the evil white man. Old movies are "reimagined" with diversity and old shows are rebooted with wokeness. The point of the exercise is to spite the original audience for the old property. That audience, of course is assumed to be white, especially white men, which is the worst audience!
