The Best Years of Our Lives
Like the last movie on the list, the next film on the list is one of those classics that only turns up on the lists of the serious film buffs. The Best Years of Our Lives was the first film to win eight Academy Awards, two of them to the same actor. Harold Russell is the only person to win two awards for the same role in a film. It was also a huge commercial success at the time, but it is now largely forgotten.
