Agree with most of the article, except Musk.

I don’t think Musk’s is fake or just sells holy oil to elites. Evidence: rockets, his buying Twitter just in time to avoid nuclear war , then help elect Trump are mere charades, nor him being essentially the Breach man through the door that allowed the other sane elites and billionaires to defect … at risk to him if he lost… is fake. I will say I think Envy is the most useless Sin. Ahem.

He then did the country yeoman service by grasping Treasury’s computers and gaining control of the payments system while exposing fraud so fantastic even we cynics were stunned.

As far as his falling out over the Big Beautiful Basket of payoffs to the Congress he is absolutely correct in terms of math and solvency, he is on the surface being very politically immature and doing Trump an injustice.

On the surface because we don’t know the truth.

We elect and the elected appoint to get results, not tell us everything we’re doing.

Finally if Trump balanced the budget suddenly he’d either be murdered by a mob of millions or have to morph into the greatest butcher since Ghenghis Khan to survive. This isn’t a job for a President or Dictator, it’s a job for Stalin , Mao or Ghenghis Khan.

“For you are very wicked people and this is why I exist.”

I was a bit disconcerted to read in Jefferson's letters to his revolutionary peers, when he was an old man, how he was saddened that the next generations were mostly about making money. Perfectly natural, of course; the country needed to grow and had a fertile political and resource-full environment to do so. Also, one driver for the revolution was wresting control of the economy away from the Crown's mercantilism. One could view Jefferson's complaints as standard older-generation laments about the young. But I believe it was more than that; he could see the nobility starting to slip away already.
