Silicon Valley Bank Crisis
The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank is one of those things that could be something or it could be nothing. The bank itself is not very big in the grand scheme of things. At the time it failed, it had $215 billion in assets. That sounds like a lot but JP Morgan Chase has 20 times that amount. SVB held about 1.5% of the assets held by the top-5 banks and an immeasurably small portion of the top-20 banks.
