I tried hard to get the word "regime-ology" off the ground, but it never caught on, which is a shame, since we need a word to describe the practice of interpreting the information emitted from the regime. The blend of unofficial and official statements from government officials and the anonymously sourced information in regime media provides a mosaic that means nothing and everything.
