Yesterday was my annual physical, which meant packing the mules for the long trip back to Lagos to see the doctress. She is not a doctress, but I just wanted to use that word. She is a nurse practitioner who does the basic doctor stuff these days. I have never actually met the doctor that allegedly supervises her. My health insurance runs through the end of the year, so I have not found a local place to do the annual physical.
