Nick And The Hive

Years ago, I wrote a post titled The Opposite Rule of Liberalism, which remains the most linked to post on the site. It was a pithy way of explaining a phenomenon that everyone notices but gets little discussion. The people we call the Left in America are always projecting their fears about themselves onto others. Whatever they are ranting about at the moment, you can be sure they are doing it or have already done it.

This is not simply hypocrisy. The hive people spend a lot of time thinking about the hive walls and the threats on the other side. They imagine what they would do if they were trying to breach the walls. The purpose of the hive is to defend the hive, so it is the thing that occupies the hive mind. It is why conspiracy theories are so common among the hive people. It is a form of anticipatory defense.
