A million years ago when I was living in Virginia, some friends from New England came down to visit and I took them out to the only bar we had in town. Because it was the only bar, it was a mixed crowd. In fact, they would have sort of a soul night once a week, along with a country night. Most weekends it was a generic live band that would appeal to most people of either race.
