More Apes: Day 1

One of the interesting things about the Planet of the Apes franchise is it took so long to finally reboot it. Even the worst films of the original bunch had been commercially successful, so from a business point of view it made sense to do it. Starting in 1980 that was the plan, but a decade of development hell is what followed until the idea was shelved for another decade.
