Goodbye To All That

Some people live in stable times and the end of their days feels about the same as the beginning of their days. In fact, their life was not all that different from the lives of their parents or grandparents. On the other side, some people live in an age of great tumult, where yesterday feels like an alien planet. Their life feels like a book composed of chapters from other books. One has no relation to the others.
