Every year I get a physical, which means answering questions on a form, sitting with a nurse practitioner for ten minutes and letting someone draw some blood. I do not enjoy the experience. I am told by old heads that I will get used to it, but I have been getting the annual physical for twenty years and I still hate it. I doubt I will like it more when the stakes begin to go up, but I will try to keep an open mind.
