Dangerous Fanatics

For a long time paleoconservatives have pointed out the religious aspects of what we call liberalism in America. The European Left has been rooted in economics since the rise of Marxism, but the American Left has always been a moral crusade. They are not simply trying to improve the material lives of their victims. They are trying to save souls through the civic religion of their politics.
