Way back when I did a show on Ben Shapiro, I noted that he comes from an intellectual subculture that thinks Western civilization just sort of fell on the European people, rather than being a product of European people. They express this with the phrase "Athens and Jerusalem" to mean Western culture is the philosophy of the ancient Greeks and Jewish moral and religious traditions.
